hmm.. how bout cats that we buy from petshops.. that are meant to be kept indoors.. do they often try to escape?

like my previous DLH.. he was always kept indoors.. this is because i dont want him to get dirty or any infections.. and another reason is i am afraid that strangers might grab him and take him away.. it is a possibility rite..

as a result from this, he always tries to escape from my room when he starts to grow.. at first, he was always hanging out at the balcony.. always looking down to the real world.. i myself wasnt so worried as i thought that he would never leap down because of the height and he never went out by himself..

but after few weeks.. suddenly one morning he went missing.. i tried looking at the balcony where he always is.. but he wasnt there..

terrified, i went down and as soon as i opened the sliding door.. he came in rushing into the house.. what a relief.. he had actually leaped of the balcony and put his feet on the cold grass of the real world.. but i didnt felt worry because he knows to come back..

after this incident, i never let him onto the balcony anymore as i fear that he might repeat his actions.. by me doing this.. he gets more irritated being kept indoors.. every chance that he has to escape he will never let go of it.. it's like he thinks he is in prison or some sort.. ALWAYS tries to escape when he gets the chance..!!

starting from that day, keeping him indoors was fun no more.. as he protested my acts.. by not liking me anymore.. not eating well.. got sick few times.. and ignoring my calls..

so i tot to myself that since he is already grown up and is eager to explore the real world, i decided to let him onto the balcony.. as i expected, he leaped down again and started wandering around the backyard and into other houses.. as i stared sadly from the balcony.. in my mind "what has happen to him? why is he running away?"

usually after he goes out for his 'journey'.. he returns home and waits for me to open the sliding door for him.. but one time, he didnt return for 4 days.. i knew that he had ran away.. or maybe someone took him away.. im not sure.. for the next 2 weeks i always sat at the balcony waiting to spot him in the bushes or maybe coming out from the neighbours house.. but it all ended in dissappointment.. he was gone for good!

well, that is the story of my DLH named BooBoo, that i took care of since he was a baby and left me just like that.. until now no sign of him..

ive posted up pictures of him and phone numbers in case anyone spotted him around.. but still no calls or any.. until one day i got an sms from an anonymous person claiming that she saw him dead!.. i felt sad, but happy in a way, at least i gave him the freedom he wanted before he died..

whats the point of keeping a cat indoors when he feels really2 unpleasant about it and totally changed his behaviour? well, what can i say... "Curiosity Kills the Cat"
