As usual dear - your choice. Just don't come crying to us if you buy a cat from the petshop for RM500 (or more) just to have it die on you one week or one month later crying "I was cheated!" or even better the cat is "pedigreed" but you cannot register the cat anywhere and then you start breeding and no-one wants to buy because you cannot prove it's breed. And of course, once you start breeding DLH, people will start calling you a BYB.

I repeat again ok for those who don't know ....

A good show/breeder quality papered pedigree cat (either sex) of any breed will set most people back a minimum of US$1500 - don't be surprised to hear of people paying EU5000 or more.

The choice of course is yours. No-one is telling you to stop eating Eden steaks - but I will tell you to be careful with what you want to do with your RM500. In fact, go eat Eden Steaks instead of buying a petshop cat - at least more puas.
