the malaysian street does have DLH and DSLH. i do have several DLH and DSLH that were stray before, as well as several beautiful DSH. one petshop guy even offered to buy my DLH for rm1k, which in business equal to big profit! spending zero but get rm1k??? but of course, that DLH still stay with me. for me, i don't put face value on my cats. all are treated equally, whether ex-stray or not and whatever length their fur is. i don't even think of upgrading my feline family from domestic to pedigree even if i can afford to buy pedigrees. but of course, one day i would love to add a few chosen breed to my feline family. upgrading and adding is a totally different story... to me, rather than spending rm500 on a petshop cat, i rather scour the alleys to get a cat. i haven't do this for quite sometime, but i have done it several times and its fully satisfying! its simply wonderful to see an unwanted cat blossoming into a beautiful cat!
