Hi Farish73, may I know is there any officially article/document/website that states that genetic effects can be triggered by poor maintenance or over supplement of a cat. While I can understand that certain ailments eg. like giradia which exists in all cats at a minimal amount can be triggered off when a cats immune system is low, I dont see how genetic defects can work in this manner. I would like to discuss this. Its an interesting issue yet sensitive. I do not want breeders out there to convieniently tell owners that we are over supplementing our cats and because of that our cats genetically faulted which does not make sense. Neither do I want breeders to convieniently say that we are mistreating and not maintaining our cats and therefore it is geneticly faulted which is also wrong. Have I misread or misunderstood what you meant? Please do explain.
