Sorry, have to respectfully disagree with the principle - if a cat has PKD etc, it has it. "Rough" treatment might hasten an onset, but it sure won't cause it and ultimately the cat would develop it anyway. Ergo - if any genetic guarantee is to be given, I don't see why it is for a limited time only.
