Well I would say that leash is not a good idea for a cat in the public Unless you cat have been socialize for a long time... Maybe you could consider a cat PREM or a transparent carrier. Well I do have cat that doesn't require to be lease but still i will bring a PREM coz sometimes i would need to put him/her inside when i have no time to attend to them...But Keep in mind bringing a cat to a public place with so many other animal could be expose to many germ and virus. So make sure your cat has up to date vaccination.
