Top of each category except for Neuter where they will not be competing for BEST OF BREED. All cats/kittens imported or malaysian bred will competing equally.

Excellence rewards or CAC are given based on colours variety. It is called Best in Variant. In Malaysia, we could not explore much in this area due to limitations of colours available that is why black cat are group together with blue cats. Assuming there are 5 cats with the same colour coding.. only one of the 5 cats will receive a CAC and this is not necessarily a wining cat. Remember! They are judged based on their colours group.

Then there is the Malaysian Breed Cat and Kitten category. This is an open category for all Msian breed pedigrees. Only the top of their category can compete.. participants will varies.. the participant may not be the 3rd or even 5th place cat because in pedigree category all important and msian bred compete together. And again they are divided between male and females and the top 1 will compete for BEST MALAYSIAN BREED .. frankly speaking this is most local breeders are aiming for...

As for Neuter cats.. they are judged on open class for all breed according to long hair and shorthair and pedigree and non pedigree... then of course the highest placing will be Best Neuter for pedigree and Best Neuter for non pedigree.. Not too worry if your cats are neutered.. they will be recognised and acknowleged as well.

As for Non-FIFE category.. they are all pedigree cats.. the reason why they are there is because it is not a recognised breed by FIFe. FIFe only recognised natural breed.. breed based on mutation or new experimented breed will have to be certified 1st before it will be recognised... (I will explain further on the breed certification later if you wanna know) They are also judged like the pedigrees.. based on standards and category like male, female, kittens etc. etc.. but the only things they could not compete for is for overall Best In Show Category - 1 and 2 place. But certification wise in terms of CAC, Best of Variant or Best of Breed will be the same.

In terms of preparation, more or else the same for pedigree or non pedigree. cleanlines.. nail clip, no flea, no open wound, no skin prob, no lice and no makeups, no alteration of colours through dye.. for long hair cats.. usage of too much powder is not advisable.. jes imagin all the dust everytime the judge hold the cat.. most judges dont like this.. you might loose points... for longhair cats.. bathe your cat at least one week before show.. or else the coat would not be much in show condition.. (grooming is best described with demonstration )

Interaction with judges on comments or advises can only be done after the shows. Judges will only see the cats and the listing once he/she is seated at the judging table. Remember, he has to be neutral and has no knowledge of the cat and owners.

Thanks for the information; I am sure all of us benefit a lot from it.

I just want to clarify something. So cats of the same breed will be judged against each other first and not with other breeds under the same category. Before I thought since they group different breeds under different categories, the different breeds in the same category are been judged together. Neutered cats of different breeds are however being judged together.

For Malaysian Breed Cat and Kitten category, say is 1st to 3rd place were won by imported kittens than the 4th place Malaysia bred kitten of each category can enter the Malaysia breed kitten category, right?

Is Excellence rewards or CAC = Best in Variant? How many colour groups are there? Beside blue and black are group under one colour group, what other colours are being group under the same colour group? If there are say 10 colour groups in Malaysia, there will be 10 CAC despite say only one cat in that colour group? These CAC will be complete among all pedigree cats or all the cats?

I read somewhere Scottish Fold was once recognized by FIFe. Due to deformation of kittens result from breeding Fold to Fold, it withdraw it recognition. I hope FIFe will recognize Scottish Fold once more as Scottish Fold breeders are award that Fold and Fold are not allow to breed together.

Could you tell us about the breed certification?
