Oh, dear! And are these servals kept in suitable space and housing? (I mean BIG runs! Like at least, a tennis court size?) Are they properly socialised?

Sorry - I must admit to prejudice in this instance. You mention the ALC - yeah...someone in the US or wherever wants an ALC, so kittens are taken (mum killed?) for cash crop purposes. Disgusts me. Even more, the serval, which (as I said) is an endangered species in various parts of Africa. The only thing about Servals is that they're not quite the same timid creature as the ALC.

FYI, Savannahs were discussed at the recent World Cat Congress. Almost a universal 'thumbs down' from the member bodies. This is because of the wild cat component as well as the precarious fate of the Serval itself.
