I watched abt cat hierarchy in PETSBURGH USA in Animal Planet 2-3 months ago(now no more), cat show their hierarchy by selecting the place where he/she sit...let say u hv cat tree with few stages...the most dominant cat will sit on the most top than others...changing of hierarchy may happen due to age and health of the cat too, i guess...how far its true...am not sure
