Now my next worry is what to use for the litter pan for B. The one I bought is suitable for both Ally and B, but it's uncovered and Ally makes a mess of it  So I don't intend to use it. Any ideas?

well, it is a good start for B to start drinking water. as for the litter, get a covered one but u must train the kitty to use it still. They might be blur on how to get in n out fr the kitty litter..
