Well, we share similar problem even actually mine is worst because my cat (Rory the MC) loves to jump into a bucket of water or roll himself in the sink that is full with water. (He jumped into my condo swimming pool once)
Talking about his water bowl, Rory used to spill the water because he would love to put both of his hands in the bowl and see the reflection of his hands. After he wet his hands, he would lick the water from his palm.
When the water in the bowl is empty because Rory loves to play with it, Trey his brother can’t drink and that worried me.
SO, I changed the technique. In stead of putting a normal bowl, I bought a heavy glass water bowl. When I said heavy, it means "HEAVY".
Even how much Rory kicks the bowl, it still stands. I win!
