I had 3 terrapins before...when i got them they were only as big as a newborn baby palm...they git bigger and bigger when i moved them to a bigger aquarium. Then they got as big as an adult's two palms put together and my mum said they had to go..so, this lady whose husband worked at the naval base took them and released them into a pond at the base.
