Great work Azhar and Horatio. I am no expert in Persians but if any of you don’t know how the real cats that supposed to be called "Persian" look like.. I think Azhar has done enough homework to educate us.
So if anyone claimed some DLH (Domestic long hair) as Persian, you can at least now tell the different.
And one more thing, even if the cat looks exactly like Persian but they don’t have proper paper, the cat's origin can also be doubted.
In many occasions, mixed cats can also resemblance pedigrees, so remember:-
1) Before believe it, please ask for the paper. And when i said PAPER, I am not talking about self printed paper. If you don’t know how the real certificate looks like, please ask reputable breeders. (Attached is one of my Maine Coon CFA cert and the bloodline 5 generations- I erase my fullname. I only have CFA, and those who have others can post it in here too. )
2) Before buying, please read a lot about the pedigree characteristic, what are NOs and Yes.
Azhar has given details about the head, ears, body and etc characteristic about Persians, please read and ask him if you still don’t know.
If I am not mistaken, the minimum price of Persian with CFA/FIFE/TICA cert price is RM1500. About the price, you can ask the breeders.
