It kills germs. One product that kill germs does not kill fleas as well.
Another example... a mosquito aerosol will kill aerosol but not kill coackroaches. You may think because the chemical in Mosquito aerosol is not strong so its doesnt do the job. But no.. its not that, the composition of chemical in certain aerosol is only manufactured to kill certain insects. How I know this.. I work for aerosol company.

So the Dettol kills germs.. probably as Comyncats said.. the fleas would have drown any way.. but its true .. you can use baby products. but reduce the scented ones because we may like the fragrances but cats are different.. they have very sharp smelling senses and may nto like all this fragrances. They are not same like human wanting all the best parfums..

Also do not bath the cat very often.. especially if it is a kitten.. it will cause pnuemonia (some lung desease)
