Default My Story - Part 1

Hi Guys,
Just would like to share with you my very own experience with cats, particularly Persians.

This was how I started.
I was born in a family who loved cats very much. We had about 5 domestic cats of our own. And our house had always become a place for other stray cats to come and have their daily meal.
Luckily when I got married in 2001, my husband also shared the same hobby with me . We decided to have a cat in our new home. We started with searching in the net about the different breed of cats. We went to MPH and read a lot of books regarding cats & their breeds. And we finally had a consensus to go for male Persians with red color (during that time the “red” Persians were in fashion). Then our search began…
However we made our first mistake – we went to the petshop to look for a ‘Persians’. When we went there, we fell in love with one male red tabby & white kitten – it was love at first sight I could say. He kept on meowing at me and looked at me with his innocent looking eyes – hoping that we would take him home along with us. (..if you all remember, he looked a little bit like "Puss in Boots" in Shrek 2...masa dia buat muka kesian)
That had made us forgotten the fact that the petshop was dirty and all their cats & kittens were not healthy and mostly infected with fungus – that was our second mistake. They used newspaper as their cat litter – that was another mistake as it was not hygienic and would give stain to the cat’s fur especially their legs. The petshop owner told me that, he was a mix breed between Persians & Maine Coon + a little bit of Turkish Angora . Little did we know (at that point of time) that it was actually a Domestic Longhair.
We agreed to buy him despite not having any papers/certificate/health guarantee/health record etc...(that was another big mistake). And we named him Mikey. Despite all the mistakes that we had encountered along the process of getting him - he is still our FIRST LOVE!
This is Mikey when he first came to our house.

....to be continued....
