a few silly questions

If it has like only 1 to 3 patches of red, can it still be called a tortie ?
Any degree/amount of red that a black cat has to have for it to be called a tortie ?
What if it's not really red but cream ? Can you call it a tortie ? Or should it be called a black cream cat ?
