However, for your info, this is how I do it.

1. after showering the cat, dry the cat with towel,

2. Use another dry towel to rub the cat when you are blow drying them.(so that the wet towel won't wet the part u had dried already. the towel also serves as protection against the cat's claws!)

3. get a harness(ref. 0.01.) not the Colar type~! the one that has two straps tying across the chest of the cat and behind the cats' front legs.

4. after having put on the harness(ref.0.02) , tie the end to a door knob so that the cat can only run in circles (it should be tied to a firm place as the cat may use all its force to break free from the harness)

5. After all that has been done, start blowing. As you blow dry them you need to run your fingers or a comb over the hair. This is to disperse the water sticking at the fur quickly and it will also help in fluffing up the cat.

6. if u are not using the Big hair dryer with cool air~, use medium hot air to blow dry, and consistantly move the dyer around.(!! DO NOT FOCUS ON A SPOT FOR TOO LONG! its HOT!)

* If your cat is a long hair cat, make sure u dry them totally ie to the root and not just the outer hair only.

I hope this help

Ginger,
My cats really hate the hairdryer.
I even wrap the noisiest pasrt with a cloth or unused sock to minimize sound but still these freakos freaked out.
So I gave up.. and relied on solar power and towel power. LOL
