you probably know this already but for new born kittens, whose mother is not up to caring for them, you need to stimulate the anal region so they can pass motion i.e berak. usually the mother cat will lick them and eat the stools.

to help them pass motion, take some clean cotton, dip in warm (not hot) water and rub the anal bits gently. after a few minutes of this they should pass some smellies.

if the mother cat is not doing her stool inducing duties and you are not doing it, the kittens can get constipation etc, etc.
