for every kesian kitty we rescue from the pet shop 5 more will be produced if the demand is there. Poor mummy cat does not get any rest while in between litters she is producing for human profit. there are definitely more than 10 reasons why not to buy from pet shops.If everybody can do their part less cats will have to suffer -both in the shops and also producing litters for the shops.
After reading all this it is still up to the individual whether he/she wants to buy. knowing the risks and knowing the suffering which our created "demand" puts these cats through is the first step. if this still does not strike a chord with the buyer then so be it.. why pay for something which is not up to standard. If you want a mix, you can adopt one. You shouldnt have to pay for something which is not of standard. (adoption fee aside). Basically buy original!
