i think yours is mackerel, but i do see a bit of classic pattern on his side-belly...

I'd have said classic (check the sides) and I suspect that the pale chin isn't so much "and white" (unless he has white on the belly, midline or anywhere else) but just normal lighter/whiter chin such as you get on tabbies from time to time. Maybe somebody's MCO got out for a night on the tiles?
