in my opinion, when you want to buy a pedigree cat, you will look and buy these things:
1. the cat (of course!)
2. lineage and paper - means you know your cat come from good quality parentage
3. good health (who wants to pay lots for a sick kitten?)
4. stable temperament (usually come with the breed and also the based from the parents)
5. a well socialized and trained cat (a petshop kitten maybe afraid of human and not litterbox trained)
6. warranty (many good breeders provide a "replacement" kitten should there be genetic and health defect - can't get this at petshop :rolleyes
7. quality (whatever quality the kitty might be - pet, breed or show!)
