I'm more or less as to what rozita said........
1)As per vet's advice aft surgery to cage the cat, then yes i would.
2)Or any new kittens in the house they may have to be put in the cage for the time being before visit to the vet.
3) If need to feed certain cat on special diet
And the period of time being cage depends on the requirements.
I don't cage my cats 24/7. The cages in my house are more as a lepak place for my cats......
