Sounds like I'm doing some sort of business here...quotation?

I've sent the PM to you on the pricing for all your basic needs but I forgot about the cage because my cat sleep with me in my room, on my bed.

So as for the cage, it ranges from RM60-700 depending on size.

adding to ika's post, the cage is collapsible, boleh lipat2...senang nak pasang n simpan.....u would need to have the cage since u're a newbie in this and to train paris to use the litterbox......i've been having cats all my life and i still have a cage for confinement purposes especially for the newbie felines....caging doesnt mean to cage them 24/7.....need to let them out n roam around the house too.....u can totally get paris off from the cage when u're confident enough that paris wont be loitering around your home except for her box....good luck ....and only then you can let paris sleep in your room, the same way ika n myself let our baby felines sleep in ours....

Lightbulb Not To B Ignored ....

well kittun ... while forummers tend to consider fer u all the basic usual needs, i wld prefer to talk bout factors dat r abstract instead of those pysical ones i.e cage, litterbox, bla bla.

im not really sure how many cats yer plannin to hev, or wat sorta hse yer livin now (i.e bungalow, terrace hse, link hse) but an understandin neighbour is also to b considered, otherwise im preety sure u don wanna b the centre of the goss. i.e "iyerrr icik kiahhhhh, umah dia kuat bau taik kucing, saya tak tahan lahhh cik kiahhhh, pagi pagi bangun berbauuu sgt sgt kat laman umah dia", contohnyaaa laaa..

understandin + pet lovers = value added, cos in many ways, they wld understand u better

in case yer neighbour has a pet dog(s), or stray dogs loiterin around neighbourhood area then extra cautiuon shld b taken in its initial stage, u cld always DIY buyin those net fr the hardware shop n fix it to the gate or adjacent chain link (correct ar the name?) wiv yer neighbour.

hmm, dats all i cld think of now, i wld add summore shld i recall anymore. cheers now.

rgds,
kahar abdullah

Yeap, i do agree with Kahar. It is not just things for ur cats that u need to get but also the cat's surroundings as well. I do not know abt u but some might disagree with me but I do suggest cats should be kept indoors. I do noticed some let their cats go outside from the house and he go roam around god knows where. Like me, I stayed in a condo n i hv 2 cats n i had never let them go out from my condo. It is for their safety actually. Would u want to let ur small child to go out alone in the 1st place??

There were couple of reasons why cats should be kept indoors:
1. as i mentioned, it is for their safety. Run over by vehicle, bitten by other dogs or got injured after some wrestlings with other cats would be the last things u want rite.

2. You do not want ur cats to caught any diseases or ticks.

3. You do not want ur cat to get 'cat-napped' regardless it is a branded wussy or domestic.

4. You definitely do not want ur cat to eat god knows what he will find out there.

5. You do not want ur cat to bring back some preys that he preyed on. Nanti jadi pembunuh bersiri pulak...

Keeping cats indoor DOES NOT means that restricting it's freedom. It is entirely depends on the owner and the people who lives under that same roof to sama-sama participate taking care this small member of the family. Should u play with ur cat(s) and spend time with ur them EVERYDAY, that would be adequate. Cats need space to run around and also some privacy (such as a paper box if u r the cheap skate type, carpets for them to lepak n napping)

Hope this info helps...

if you'll be staying in a hostel dorm i suggest you not to. somepeople dislike cats and only god know what they do

if in a single room, by yourself, you can keep inside a room. but if the cat is not properly toilet trained, he might be a nuisance to you. so, better have one.

lastly, better have two cats so they will keep each other company.

i kept two cats during my final year when i stayed at single room. lots of my friends there do keep cats too. but, mostly ours are moggies local there and we let them roam outside. our room is so small not fair to keep the inside most of the time. but, the cats are usually keep inside at night and properly collared all the time
