about a year i used Hills Science and this month (jul) i changed to Sensible33. Well the immediate changes i saw was the bulu lebih cerah but the eating habits are the same.

However one thing that baffles me is: when they eat Hill.. tersepak kat sana sini tapi when they RC now.. the floor is clean... I cant figure out why

Cuba la try Royal Canin Skin Care + Royal Canin PErsian. TOmmy suka RC Persian tapi tak suka RC Skin Care, tu yg i campurkan dua2. I tanye vet, dia kata RC Skin Care yg paling bagus sbb skin yg bagus akan menghasilkan bulu yg cantik. Tommy pun skang dah tak tergaru2 lagi. DUlu kalo dia garu2 mesti sampai terluka. Skang kalo i brush bulu dia, i selak2 skit bulu dia tgk ada lagi tak luka2 kat kulit. Dah takde dah skang ni. Lagi satu dia ada booster immune system. Agaknyer, susah nak dapat sakit kut. Tommy sejak i beli dia tak pernah kene flu n penyakit2 yg sewaktu dgnyer. Cuma ada sekali kene sakit mata. Lepas inject, skang dah ok.

I'm switching back to RC Kitten 34 pasal Annahita punya perut seems to be ok ngan kibbles nie. I'm slowly introducing back this Kibbles back to Maya. Sekarang nie campur ngan Eagle Kitten. Maya makan tapi sikit la. I hope Maya can accept this pasal leceh la nak beli 2 types of kibbles everytime

size of kibbles maybe? that's why rc has different kibble size for different breeds because they know tt some cats may have difficulty eating large kibbles(e.g rc roon) so they have smaller kibbles.. for the breed specific ones like persian, the kibbles are created such that the persians are able to pick the kibble up easier what with their flat faces, small mouths n all.. the ones for siamese i believe are larger because siamese do not really chew their food.. so the intention is just to make them chew before swallowing

I oso notice that RC got different type of pattern and size for different kibbles. I tot it's for fun . Tapi I notice RC kibbles got stong smell compared to others like Iams, Eagle or Whiskas

So far I oso know that Iams Kitten and Eagle Kitten are using the same pattern. The Tri-Star look. Anybody know why this pattern ? any particular reason?

Currently I stopped giving my kitties IAMS for adult and RC for kittens. I found Blackwood for all cat stages. Until both of my kittens turn into adults, I think I'll stick to that brand. I realized that their stool stench has toned down. But as for everything else, I don't see much difference. Only if I leave the food there, they don't gobble it up as frequent as when I left IAMS. Or maybe that's just what I want to believe.

Blackwood's also using the Tri-Star kind . I prefer it that way than Nutro where it has an oval shape which I think it's quite hard for the cats to bite on.

I don't see many people using this brand. I wonder why? Any Blackwood buyers out there to give out comments or at least experiences?

Edit:

Anyways, I've searched the forum and read a couple of threads about Blackwood.

As for the stool, they do look solid but there's not much of a difference from last time I gave IAMS. They pretty much looks the same to me As for the likeliness of this product, when I give it to them when they're hungry semua pon habis di makan. Tapi the stock of this product seem kurang. So terpaksa beli 2 bags once cause I'm afraid it'll be out of stock when the next time I go and buy some. Also I think Ina's shedding problem has reduced. Before this I always groomed her and was still complaining about her fur flying about but I haven't complained anything yet so far.

So far, I give my cats IAMS Adult (chicken / ocean fish) for few years already .. and I do change the food sometimes (diff brands/flavors)...e.g Royal Canin / Science Plan

But I notice, their stools were really smelly and soft if I give them Science Plan..its really anoying if they accidentally poops inside the house!

I still prefer IAMS though; price is okay and my cat tolerates well with it

Gothicca,

I'm also currently using Blackwood too, mainly because it's a super premium food. It's generally due to my bad habit of stereotyping the food category. For me, I'll always choose super premium food and the ones without by-products. Iams, Science Plan and Royal Canine are all premium foods and they contain by-products.

The stool is hard and the smell isn't killing me that bad compared to when I gave other brands.

A friend told me once that Blackwood is the preferred brand amongst breeders. I have no idea as to whether or not this claim is true. Perhaps breeders would like to comment on this.

I've tried pretty much all brands, I think. Blackwood, Iams, Royal Canine, Science Plan, Back To Basic, Felidae, Nutro, Proformance. I'd say I'm happy with Blackwood, Felidae and Back To Basic, only Back To Basic kibbles are rather hard to chew. I heard good things about Innova. I'd prolly try it in a few months.

I was told that female cat feeding on Blackwood will produce more kittens... and it seems to be true
