Hi Nikky

I was three months pregnant before i discovered it and i immediately stopped doing the litter duty. My gynae checked me for toxoplasmosis which i tested -ve. Being a catlover herself she has never advised me to get rid of the cats but only told me not to handle the faeces. Some people will give you grief about this, i had to go through it with some ignorant colleagues and my inlaws...believe me they told me all sorts of things from the cats will 'wish' that i have a miscarriage to the baby being born abnormal..what rubbish! I sayang and kiss them all throughout pregnancy and i laughed at the look on their faces when the baby kicked and they were sitting in my lap..

So, no worries!

Animals always accreddited for their extra senses. I think they ususally know a person is pregnant. Afterall our cats have extraordinary smelling senses. Last week my colleague told me that her 13year ole dog usually jumps on her but when she was pregnant this dog no longer jump on her but behaved well and did not jump on her as if the dog (female) knew that my colleague was pregnant...

U think so?

I have heard such from my mom too saying that a married lady cannot have babies if she has cats in the house....I strongly believe it to be nonsense..

Default Hi Nikky

Hello Nikky..

I penah refer dis matter to my gyane..According to him..it's ok for you to keep them as long as u avoid yur self from their litter pan & scooping their poo..Use gloves is you have to..But if can, try to avoid all of these..

But..if your pregnancy is fragile, sensitive and need extra care..I'm afraid u got to let them go or u may need some of yur friends to look after them..Coz in this kind of situation..where yur pregnancy is very fragile till u could not do even a thing !!..

B4 this I had a misscarriage but now I am 4 months pregnant and still under precaution..Hope everything will b ok..InsyaAllah..

Just take care..
