Hi Nikky !
Actually bukan tk boleh....but better for you not to touch the stools if you do not know if the cat is a carrier for toxoplasmosis (or not)

To be safe and sure, bring your cat to the Vet to have him/her tested for toxo.

Better safe than sorry !

Good Luck !

Don't worry about sounding ignorant or anything. The Vet will advice you on what you should do based on the test results
Good Luck with the human baby eh

i have four dogs and two cats. i have two kids and am pregnant with the third. really, if you know how to wash your hands before you put them in your mouth, you'll be fine.

Toxoplasmosis is spread by "Siput air " (Sorry...forgot the correct term) to the mice/mouse ,cat usually get it either by drinking contaminated water (padi field, fresh water pond, mine or drain)or eating infected mice,if your cat is indoor and eating kibbles, this should not be the problems.

Anyway if you are living/dealing with stray cat that eating mice/mouse or drinking what I call " dirty" water sources, then your cat might be infected.

I agree with other forumers, cleanliness is the main step to avoid this infestation. For me,throwing/avoiding cat during pregnancy is just an excuse....no valid reason for that.(unless you are allergic or having ASTHMA)
