To our present members, let share our experienced of how much time we spent on our cats daily ...

My cats management/ time spent with my cats :
- Weekday (mon-fri):
6.00 am - 7.00 am :clean litter boxes, prepare/give their food,
6.30 pm - 7.30 pm :same as above
8.30 pm - 10.00 pm : play time

- Weekend (sat/sun):
same as above accept that I got plenty of time playing with them
Visit to a vet (scheduled).

I dont have many cats so my timetable goes like this:

Weekdays:

Before 8 am: Prepare food & water
Between 6 pm and 7pm: Clean litter boxes and prepare food
Between 12 to 6am: Sleep with my cats

Weekends: Very much the same except that I get to bath my cats

Well, as for me...i only have a female 8 yr old (JUNE) and my naughty 4 months male kitten (LILO). JUNE does her business outside, so litter box is just for LILO. My daily schedule would be :-

7am - 8am - I'll clean up LILO's litter box and cage. Give both cats their food and water.

8am-830am - Brush both cats, land et out JUNE to let her do her morning business. She'll be indoors when i go out to work.

7pm-8pm - Clean litterbox and cage.

9pm - 10pm - Playtime for both cats with mummy....

10.30pm - Mummy's bedtime and LILO tend to cuddle beside. JUNE sleeps under my bed. Guess she doesnt like the idea of cuddling together with LILO as LILO is very naughty and likes to bully her 24/7....

As for weekends, extra hours of playing with mummy and cats worst nightmare, bath time.....hehe....

Does anyone started earlier than mine (6.00 am) ...

aiyo, i'm the guilty one who leaves food (kibbles) out all day!
actually because of my odd working hours (my housemate abt the same), we decided long ago to make food accessible all the time in case we return late. they get fresh food during the weekends.

depending on what time the dogs wake me to go outdoors, i could be up before 6am to top up food for the 3 cats. usually, whichever cat is around will instantly jump up and feed.
i top up before i leave for work, i.e. abt 11.30am, and then at night too.

don't have designated play time with them but two of them tend to jump onto my lap for a cuddle while i read the papers in the morning. not tog. of course.

the 2 male cats tend to play a lot with each other so we watch lah! all 3 get exercise chasing each other or being chased by Pebbles, my youngest dog.

have not been that regular in bathing them - try at least fortnightly. but i check their eyes and ears daily when they come for cuddle, or in Tommy's case, when i catch him!

Coco also follows when the dogs are taken for their walks so does this count as quality time?

oh, when it's cold, Tommy sometimes sleeps the entire night just beside my head.

well i did it 5.30 in the morning..before I take my shower..
5.30 - 5.45 am - prepare food and drink + cleaning litter
6.00 - 7.00 pm - cleaning litter + wash food container
8.00 - prepare for food
10.00 - cleaning litter

So far, my daily routine: -

7.00am - 7:30am - Body Rubs then Food
7:00pm - 7:30pm - Food then Body Rubs
9:00pm - 9:20pm - Litter Tray Cleaning (5 trays)
9:30pm - 11:00pm - Grooming/Fun/Treats

Weekends - All of the above with more fun, more body rubs, more exercise

All of the above are shared responsibilities by the owners so, no worries about the cats missing any of the above sessions.

Mine goes like this (currently I have 1 male cat):

Weekdays: Monday-Friday
7.00-7.15am: Clear litterbox & feed homecook diet/wet food (dry food is open for him)
7.30am: Out to work
6.30pm: Reach home and carry & cuddle him (since he's waiting for me at front gate)
7.30pm-7.45pm: Feed him homecook diet/wet food and clear litterbox
9.00-10.00pm: Play and cuddle with him

Weekends: Saturday & Sunday
8.00am-8.15am: Clear litterbox & feed homecook diet/wet food (dry food is open for him)
2.00-2.30pm (Saturday): Grooming Time!!!!
7.00-7.15pm: Clear litterbox & feed homecook diet/wet food (dry food is open for him)
8.00pm-9.00pm: Playtime and cuddling time...

This is my routine :

I have to do the list below as fast as I can otherwise I'm late to work.

8.00 - 8.30 - Let them out from their room ,clean litterbox , change water & food for cats room 1 ,chk kitten condition , belly rub Riki

8.30 - 9.00 - Let them out from their room ,clean litterbox , change water & food for cats room 2

9.00 - 9.15 - Feed the fish , birds and other pets.

OK everybody inside your room..

Take shower and speed to work

Home at :

9.30 - 10.30 - Let them out from their room, clean litterbox , change water & food for cats room 1, play with the kitten , grooming , mopping

10.30 - 11.45 - Let them out from their room, clean litterbox , change water & food for cats room 2, mopping , playtime , watch my MC activity coz they can get quite aggresive sometime...when on heatlah...

Sunday

8.00 - 8.40 - Let them out from their room ,clean litterbox , change water & food for cats room 1

8.30 - 9.15 - Let them out from their room ,clean litterbox , change water & food for cats room 2

9.15 onwards : Bath time , grooming , chk & play with kitten , chk all cats condition, play as long as you like or a visit to the vet.

Evening : Jln-jln time...

Things can be done fast since its done by both of us Afi & Crazycat.

I have a simple routine and my schedule is not entirely fixed, but normally, it goes like this:

7.00 - 7.30 (am)
Find Knight (I let him loose around the apartment at night) by following the trail of his bell, poop checking & litterbox cleaning, water & food refill, make sure he's eaten before feeding him the vitamin and play with him a little. Then off to work

7.00 - 7.30 (pm)
Back from work and same routine as above, plus check for wounds, bruises, mites, flees etc. Anything to make sure he's intact.

7.30 - 11.00 (pm)
If I don't have class, this is fun time for us. If I do, my Mom will do the lovey dovey routine with him.

11 pm onwards
Knight will be playing Let's-jump-on-my-sleepy-headed-mummy's-chest-Oh-is-that-a-quivering-enemy-lurking-under-her-fat-arm game.

He'll sleep whenever he wants, sometimes with me, sometimes with my sis who'll come home fortnightly, but most of the time on top of a basket I put next to my bed.

Off days (Twice a week)
7.00 - 7.30 (am)
Find Knight by following the trail of his bell, poop checking & litterbox cleaning (basuh terus), water & food refill, make sure he's eaten before feeding him the vitamin.

7.30 - 10.30 (am)
Real play time!

10.30 - 12.00 (pm)
He's doze off for a while

12.00 - 2.00 (pm)
Mandi time! (Yeah, it'll take me that long...sigh)

2.00 - 7.00 (pm)
I do my own thang, he kacau occasionally. Sometimes bawak die main kat padang (if I feel energetic enough to chase him around!)

7.00 - 7.30 (pm)
Poop checking & litterbox cleaning, water & food refill, make sure he's eaten before feeding him the vitamin.

7.30 - 11.00 (pm)
Fun time before bedtime.
