Default Pedigree and non pedigree cats are cats

Flora,

It is so difficult for me to answer any of your questions because pedigree or non pedigree, they are cats. There are no different whatsoever between them except for identified generations and unknown mixture.

Your questions are the same like asking “What shall I do before getting cats”.

But when you asked “Can they eat the same cat food brand as the other cats in the house” makes me wondering whether pedigree cats have special stomach while other cats don’t.

Another question of yours “What breed is suitable if you already have DSH/DLH at home?”, I seriously don’t understand at all. Are you planning to buy a pedigree Tiger or something?

Another question of yours “Is a double-storey house ok? Does this kind of breed require walking?”.. Let me repeat again, THEY ARE CATS!!!

I am sorry if I offended you but I just don’t understand your questions because they sounded like DLH/DSH are from the different species than pedigree cats.

As I said in the paragraph 2, you should just ask “What shall I do before getting cats” or decide what pedigree cats that you want and ask for “Reputable Cat’s breeder” like suggested by Horatio.

Remember: Treat your expensive and cheap/free cats the same. They are the same species. What the cats care at the end of the day is your love.

If in future someone is planning to get a pedigreed cat, what he/she should do/be prepared to do aside from the money/cost of getting one?

Questions: -

1. What breed is suitable if you have dogs/puppies at home?
I think the question shld be the other way around....what dog breed can get along with the cats.

2. What breed is suitable if you already have DSH/DLH at home?
All breeds is suitable.

3. If the answer for the above is positive, means there is a suitable breed suggested, how much normally the cost to get one and how much is the monthly allowance or budget needed to maintain one - i.e for fur maintenance?

This part I agree.

4. What kind of catfood suitable for the breed?
Anything that is ranging from premium food to super premium.
Actually if you feed rice, pasta, meat, fish also the cat won't die. You must know how to feed only.

Can they eat the same catfood brand as the other cats in the house - i.e Eagle Pack, Iams & Evo?
Why not ? But a proper schedule of changing the original food the cat was eating to whatever new food they are to change to. Follow on the progress of the cat.
And judge for yourself whether need to make changes shld the need arises...looking at the cat's condition.

5. Is caging the breed mandatory? Can it be mixed with the other cats - all other cats vaccinated/neutered/spayed, in good health as to date.
Instead of caging the breed, the sick cat or the cat under going medication is the one suppose to be caged.

6. Is a double-storey house ok? Does this kind of breed require walking?
All breed require walking. Walking can take place in any type of house except tree house.

7. What kind of breed suitable if got kids in the house?
All type of breeds suitable for the kids, depends what type of kids suitable for the cats.

That's how I would reply actually.

Questions: -

1. What breed is suitable if you have dogs/puppies at home? Preferably shorthair.
I havent tried one. But I would like to have 5 chow chows. But I think dog and cat will not get togather unless they are togather since young. I think you have a dog right? So teach me how you did it..

2. What breed is suitable if you already have DSH/DLH at home?Preferably short hair.
I think what ever you like just carry on but importantly if a person so cares then find the suitablity in the sense: "will the cat need lots of attention", "can they do without the master for long hours"..so find the pedigree that fits such suitablity. I say this because very often it is we who are jugling with time..

3. If the answer for the above is positive, means there is a suitable breed suggested, how much normally the cost to get one and how much is the monthly allowance or budget needed to maintain one - i.e for fur maintenance?
For me la.. I think love is more important than what one feeds. You can even feed CP smart (if you are tight budget), but just dont throw away the cats after the fun is gone..again poor man or rich man still need to be nourished properly. So feed the best to any cat breed or no breed. Sorry I am socialist democratic, thats how I think, "everyone the same - equal distrubution"

4. What kind of catfood suitable for the breed? Can they eat the same catfood brand as the other cats in the house - i.e Eagle Pack, Iams & Evo?
I think follow the breeders food first. Then slowly wean them to your brand. Dont forget to test small packs first to seewhich one your cat likes, but really.. I prefer all my cats eat the same and not different brands. Will they not eat fom each others plate?

5. Is caging the breed mandatory? Can it be mixed with the other cats - all other cats vaccinated/neutered/spayed, in good health as to date.
Depends, a new cat should be caged untill they get acqquainted with the others. I assuming that you bought a healthy cat.

6. Is a double-storey house ok? Does this kind of breed require walking?
Hello.. dont ask like that la.. I stay in small apartment only..but I love my cats.. they can walk around my home.. weekend (by turn) I take them out to the garden or something..

7. What kind of breed suitable if got kids in the house?
Emm... I think there is a pedigree cat that is friendly to kids.
Well I think all cats have personality so even DSH may play (if they love playing)
When you buy cat.. observe how playfull and active she / he is..
Take the cat that touches your heart

The above questions are for the purpose of getting information first only.

Thank you.
