now i'm do my degree at bangsar and i live at level10 hostel...my prob is don't know how to take care of cats when living in the highest building...actually my prob is about cats toilet...at my house, my father build some place that have a sand for cats to do their business. just a normal sand. i never use cats toilet. someone can tell me which equipment i need to prepare before bring cats to my hostel?hope anyone can help me...

first of all..CHECK WITH AUTHORITY whether cats are allowed. you don't wanna your cats end by adoption!.

secondly, cover all enterence with net..such as veranda, balcony..grill them with smallest gap if you have to...so do doors...cover the door with grills and if the gap so big..cover it with nets..

close all your windows, or cover it with nets..but ofcourse, you want to leave one in case of emergency...just close the emergency window.

you can buy litter box and use premium litter sand (it with absorb the smells) and you can put it in one of unused room or end of kitchen...teach your cat to know where it the location..when one or twice urinate there..should be ok..

since there would be no playground to exercise and play with...u might want to consider cat toys, cat furniture...etc.. In my case I left one empty room just for them..

so the kibbles...since there so little exercise, you may want to look for special kibbles for indoors..(ie RC Indoor)

my cat will not end with adoption coz i just wanna bring one of my cat at home...if cat not allowed here i will send it back to my house...thanks ya for ur advice...neway, how much cost for litter box and litter sand....cost for one cat only...in a week how many time we should change litter sand and clean litter box?..where i can get that item?...i only know pet shop at mid valley only...is their price reasonable?..playground?....i always jogging at UM,maybe my cat will come along...is that ok if i take my cat for a jog?

the litter box cost you about rm45...depending on brand and size..it suitable for 2-3 cats. The sand about RM25...And It will last for months...just scoop out stools.

If you wanna brings for jog, you have to buy cat harness :-


otherwise, your jog would turn to 100 meters sprint chasing you cat..

which brand was better for litter box and litter sand?...u said cost for litter sand was rm25/month...is that cost for one cat only?...or it can be more longer if i'm only have one cat?..is that toilet smelly?...how many time in a month we should clean the litter box and change the litter sand?...'soalan cepu mas'-->how many time one cat do their business in a day?

I have 3 cats...all shared the same litter box (I have two..one in their room the other one is on balcony)..I just put the sand at 1/3 litter box...scoop the stools every morning and after get back from work..and change the whole sand on weekend..

smelly depends...mine is not!..but ofcourse if you lazy enough to scoop the stools daily..well you have to live with the smells!

my cat usually do their business at night and late-morning...sorry, I didn;t have time to count!

the hardness cost about RM11.00...most of pet-shop sells it..

is that litter box must be open?doesnt have closed one?
u mean to avoid that smelly we must scoop the stools always ya?

owh...we just need to clean the litter box once in a week
not bad....thought i have a lot free time on a weekend to do that simple thing
