Absolutely agree! I have 4 kids.. 3 pedigrees and 1 DLH, but I think all of my friends can tell which one is my favorite kid .

What is cert and cost when we love them?

Some people in here do not understand when some people tried hard to explain about pedigree certificates. When we explained about the purebred and the cert, they are merely explanation.. it has got nothing to do when our loves and passions to cats.

So, to new users especially, hear this carefully. When we talked about the different between a Persian and a domestic longhair, we are merely giving an explanation on the differences but not the feeling in our hearts about cats. Lot of people get it wrongly and some did PMed me asking why I only care for pedigree cats.

btw, i guess all ppl start to own cat with domestic first. Even i guess most breeder own domestic cat .Like me, i have DSH,DSLH,DLH also..

About neuter or intact, then its just an advise ..kalau sapa nak ikut then ikut..yang tak nak ikut, then siapa boleh halang kan?

Sama laa macam bela kereta, setengah org tuh jaga kereta macam kereta tuh tuan dia..sedangkan kita nih tuan kereta....

So simple guide line to buy cat regardless domestic ,pedigree:-

1. Make sure the cat is healthy--how? check vaccination card and if got any history record. Bring to vet straightaway after taking the cat. once home, make sure quarantine it first for few days/week (if you have other cat at home). Jgn terus lepas kucing dlm rumah. prefer small area first during quarantine. Senang nak cuci kalau found out ada flea,pest,bacteria,virus,etc)

2. Make sure the cat/kitten want you. Make sure the cat choose u, not u choose the cat. Some cat very choosy of their owner. Some dont like kids, some cat jumpy, some cat noisy environment.

3. Make sure u can afford to bela/maintain the cat from the day the cat with you until the cat die. Jgn dok hangat2 taik ayam. Nampak bulu luruh, dah besar, mula laa nak ingat nak sedekah kat org, nak buang kat pasar,etc
- Ini kena pandai ingat and plan properly. For those yang just nak bela and not really into showing:-

1. vaccine is a must
2. Deworm is a must
3. mandikan dgn shampoo is a must
4. grooming is a must
5. Supplement not really necessary
6. Fresh water. kibbles always available at all time
7. Standby ubat-ubat is a must. Takkan tiap kali nampak sakit sikit nak bawa pi vet? So you must know what type of ubat need to available at home.
8. Any premium food will do good for them. As long the cat love to eat..then should be fine.
9. Once a while, bagi laa can food ka, or meat,chicken or fish..can make this like a treat.
10. Litter sand, preferbly non clay type. other than that should be ok. Kalau yang dapat train guna toilet then no need the litter but at least spare 1 bag, incase dia sakit.
11. At least got 1 big/medium cage to hold them bila maybe u nak kemas rumah, the cat sakit,etc.
12. Try to let them stay indoor.
13.etc

If look at item 3, then we should understand that the commitment is quite high. Kucing tak reti nak menjerit kata sakit or lapar,etc..
