I recently bought a kitten from a breeder and I thought i was getting a siamese. She said over the phone it was a siamese, then later a siamese/balinese balance. When I tried to have her explain, she said that it IS a siamese but sometimes gets a balinese in them? I didnt really understand. Could someone explain if they know about this kind of cat, and tell me what kind of cat I have?

Since the breeder keeps changing her version, it is best if you ask her to provide you with a certicate and pay a little bit extra. Ask her for the parentage line too. |

The Balinese is the long haired version of the Siamese, just like the Javanese is the long haired version of Color Point Shorthairs.
It would be best that you get the cat registered and pedigrees given. The Siamese is an acceptable outcross to the Balinese. ETA: Is your cat Long Haired or Short Haired? Either way, if your breeder is registered with CFA then the cat will be registered as Balinese, not Siamese.

He is very, very good looking. So this is the confused little boboy that pees on yr bed? I think maybe the pee smell ada yang dah meresap into the mattress or mattress protector as well so that even if you have treated the blanket, the smell is still there and his little brain is still confused. Try tabur some long thinly shredded fresh orange peels (at least this is not toxic to the kitten) around the spot/area on yr bed to deter him. This non-toxic method worked for some of my friends' confused kitties and is worth a try for U. Good luck, dear friend!

I would think your kitten is Balinese but since there are no papers, the kitten is now a Domestic Shorthair. Your kitten is in the fugly (fuzzy ugly) stage. I hope later when it matures you will get the more feathery or plumey tail with a tight body coat.
To answer your Balinese/Siamese question: You can mate a Siamese to a Balinese. This is an acceptable mating. The litter, if registered, will be registered as Balinese and NOT Siamese just as if it were a Somali x Abyssinian, the litter would be registered as Somali not Abyssinian. Of course, I am speaking CFA not any other registry. The reason that registries allow such matings is so that the gene pool for the Long Haired versions (such as Balinese, Javanese and Somali) are widened.

There is such a thing as a (SIA/BAL) variant - a siamese look-alike with a Balinese parent (it's a SH, but carries LH)
