i only have fan for my cats room and my dslhs are doing fine... some even have thick coats. i don't think i would install an aircon for my cats room anyway. my cats have destroyed one fan and the current one is on the way to the garbage bin! i will be installing a wall mounted one later... however, running fan at 24/7 would help i think
 and the position of their pad, my cats room is on the groundfloor where is much cooler as my house is two-storey
