Hi semua, semalam I beli silica gel untuk menggantikan pasir untuk cat litter box. Ingatkan bila dah masukkan silica gel tuh dalam litter box, mereka akan poo2 dan pee2 ke dan I bolehlah ganti pakai pasir. Rupanya for my cats, it is another toy for them. They kuis2, they chasing the silica that bouncing on the floor, bunyinya sahaja bila diorang kuis tu menginvite the whole cat. Imagine 6 of them mengelilingi litter box and start pull out the silica gel from the box, eager sangat mengeluarkan bendalah tu.

Even the little guy try to chew it!!!!. It was end up dengan my house penuh dengan silica gel. Depa berlari lari keliling rumah kejar bouncing silica tuh....and I was there, at the corner of my house, watching them, helplessly, geram, penat, nak marah tapi tak jadi,... Nak marah, they are my baby. So I senyap je le, watching them make that thing bouncing with sound until one of them asking for food.

Question are :-
1) Bahaya tak kalau depa termakan. one of the kitten chew that thing
2) Is it the sound, bouncing of that thing yang buat depa semua suka main.
3) Or I need to tukar dengan benda lain, not that sand anymore, maybe feline pine.

Rasanya kena tukar kepada FP agaknya cikomanja, Before this I'm using clump sand, tapi kaki2 baby tu semuanya kotor dan melekat dengan pasir. Guna silica ni, memanglah ok, bila poo2 gel tuh melekat dan senang untuk scoop. Tapi kan, rumah I jadi macam running confettii, bendalah tuh bouncing dan all of them kejar2.

Horatio, saya guna yang rounded crystal, white color and a bit of blue color. Tak pasti jenama apa. Semalam ptg pi beli kat pet wonderland great estern mall, the price around rm18.00. CAri FP atau PP but bila tanya the PW staffs, diorang tak tahu pun bendalah tu.

I put all inside the open litter box, not sure about the amount/height that i need to put inside. Tengah malam tadi I peeping diorang. One of the kitten (tomok) dah start guna untuk poo2, but the rest came around the litter box, because of the sound of the crystals. And they start pulling out the crystal. Bet me, they can "menyeluk pekasam sampai kepangkal ketiak". Dari segi nak membersihkannya senang sebab crystal akan melekat, dan u hanya buang poo2 yang melekat tuh saja. Maybe I will mix with some sand to make the crystal heavy.

Tu le Horatio, kat situ rasanya lebih mahal, better go for petshop. Tapi apa nak buat sebab balik kerja terus rush nak beli. Anyway tempat tuh paling dekat. Nak gak recce ke PetZone. Uptown area tu tahu le gamaknya, but the location tuh tak pasti. As example, I went to PW midvalley, great estern to find RC babycat34, hanya terdapat banyak kat ikano, yang ada hanya RC kitten34.

Beli le jugak kitten34 tuh dan terpaksa rendam dalam air suam dulu. Otherwise the kitten will chew it and will throw it away. . Dan semalam terpaksa beli Proformance untuk kitten substitute RC babycat34 yg still tak ada lagi. Nak ke Ikano memanglah bercinta sebab jam petang2.

This remind me of what my new kitten does. He goes and eats the new litter sand everytime I change. What should I do? i don't think it's safe but not sure what I shall do. I think maybe he was a stray before and saw other big cats sniffling and eating something from the sand outdoors...any advise?

Hi Jaz, I think it is dangerous for your cat eats the sand because it was unwanted things that goes into ur cat stomach. Afraid it was not digested and will cause the urinary tract.

I think it's safe.. FDA approved or sumthin ... try read this page...
