Fussy Saffron
Hi guys...I'm not getting much sleep and my pocket is going empty.
 Saffron doesnt want to eat dry kibble at all and she wants different wet food everyday. If I give her the same thing 2 days in a row, she will look at me and walk away.  The vet suggested that I soften the dry kibble and mix it with the wet food...nope it didnt work! Gave her ID (food prescribed by vet) she ate and ate and ate but vomited this morning. Arghhhhhh! what do I do? She has lost 50g. Since I dont believe in caging my babies, I had to do it last nite so that I could monitor her eating habits...she meowed all night. Could she be vomiting because of meowing all nite? HELP!!!

wahhhhh demanding a lot huh..... shes think that shes cute...so she can demanding.. (she is cute anyway heheheh). so have you try other Kitten dry food like Regal, Bil-Jac, Pro Formance. Seems like my kittens love all the food..heheheh just buy the small packet first... Pro formance the new product seems good with omega 3 & 6... Cuba try test lah... otherwise kalau tak nak gak... I know what to do..tapi try these kind of food first...

Stressed Saffron?
Hi Ika
Sorry to hear about Saffron's demands. Is she under stress - are pepper & smeagol bullying her in anyway. sometimes the bigger cats are very smart and can do this behind your back - so pop in on them when they don't expect you. If she is stressed she might meow a lot and lose her appetitite...if her she starts shedding a lot of hair than stress can be the cause. Or does she miss her mother? Kittens can be hard to figure out. Maybe you want to try this petua - when she wants to sleep place a ticking alarm clock wrapped in a towel beside her. It makes kittens feel like its their mother with the ticking sounding like the mother's heart beat. there's the boiled chicken liver and breast meat option if it is just a fussy eater case. shiloh

Hi Ika,
wow just abt the Pepper-Smeagol thingy subsided, now Saffron's turn to buat hal. haiyo.. can imagine ur pening-ness... My Casper had similar problem when I feed him brand new wet food. Usually I observed my cats' behaviour when they eat new food. That particular day when I gave a brand new wet food, he was so happy (constantly meowing when i opened the can) and he ate very fast (like kebuluran). He quickly finished his meal but moments later he threw up. Therefore, I learnt that if u gave a cat a brand new food, never gave him the regular portion but half the amount would be advisable. I tried the method n he did not threw up anymore. I guessed it is also like us humans when we see food served at the buffet counter and we tend to eat a lot until we bloated (if not vomit). if perihal ur Saffron always want different kind of wet food everyday... this is relatively new for me. Highly unlikely cats would prefer different types of food daily as like humans. As mixing wet & dry food did not work for Saffron, I guessed I wud suggest give him his meal slightly later than his regular time so that he can felt a bit hungry n hopefully he won't be so picky. I believed cats that accustomed to freely roam around will not be comfortable if their freedom is restricted all of a sudden. That is why u got the orchestra performance...

ni kira kitten yg kuat meragam lah nih....i taklah pandai sangat but maybe try boiled food as per what shiloh mentioned.....or crush the dry food sampai hancur n mix with the cheaper wetfood as per what crazy cat suggested...and i guess dia tengah nak take ur full attention sebab dia paling kecik.....stress out maybe???....smeagol n pepper dah besar so takde kawan kenit macam dia kut???......bring saffron over to my place....mana tau when he's with his age group, he'll be abit cheerie....???...who knows???...
