Since i got the kitties, the house would not have passed mother in law's inspection but i've learned to live with it! Kitties don't like to scratch where they're supposed to but favour the furniture instead. I've put drapes over my rattan chairs and now they have resort to scratching on my hubby's studyroom swivel chair...he doesn't mind at all, and now everybody's happy!

Absolutely no denying that.

If I didn't have cats.....it would've been just Nemo & gang. But now with the cats around, life is so much more meanigful.

My leather ahem.....swivel chair is already in a sorry state but heck, they seem to enjoy ripping it apart, sleeping on it; aaah.....so be it. As long as they're happy doing what they do.

My next swivel chair when the time comes will of course be cat-proof. I don't print money you know.

For me ... very simple... I love my cats and very strick too... when they clown around I will but if they pee or scratch or poo I will and they know what will happen when I'm .

Every time they try too scratch my sofa I will shout at them... then they know they did something wrong. What I learn from my vet friend's is that a pet is still a pet... do not over pampered them nor do cruelty to them... otherwise they will naik tocang...

we swear by double sided tape. but you need to get the really broad type. the type that is over an inch wide and stick it all over the affected areas until scratching ceases.

If they are still kittens...of coz they didn't know the proper place to scratch... I bought a small carpet for them and once they start scratching on the carpet.... they tend not to scratch anywhere else... otherwise I will...
