Be cautious with any chemicals in the plants too, watch out for toxidity. I think Nanya ate rat poison or something toxic. You know how some ppl are so free with poison usage, even the mosquito and insect spray ... That is why I always make my home and compound so attractive to my FurKids that they seldom venture out of my garden even though they have the chance to do so. Even though allowed outdoors, they are in the house when I am in, and in the garden when I am there. One of the secrets? I often have a chunk of chicken breast meat which I tear in VERY, VERY thin strands and offer as treats and also I touch, pet and sweet talk to them all the time. I make sure that each time they make contact with me (a look or a call) I will always respond. If you don't, they will soon stop and ignore you and it will be very, very difficult to retrain.

Thanks for the idea furkids, it sounds great! Doest it require a big space? Cause i am temporary staying in a rented room so space is quite limited. When we are off to work, poor Nisha has basically nothing in the room that is movable to entertain her. Sometimes i allow her to go downstairs, but my housemate very often let the sliding room open. Like yesterday morning i decided to let her free (in the house) within the house. I came back at lunch time to see her and i got so horrified when i see the sliding door was open! Thanks God that i found Nisha sleeping in my room. What would happen if she noticed the room and roam out of the house?

Wah you kids are very fortunate! A good home and best treatment, free space for Nisha? Hehehehe..... My the other 2 cats are still in Ipoh and Penang waiting for us to buy our house so we can transfer them over. When the time comes, Nisha will not be alone anymore..... Ofcoz i will have another headache by then, coz 3 of them never met before..... LOL

As for Nisha, she met an accident at a construction site few months back. When we found her she is already handicap. Thts the reason why we decided to take her home even though we do not have a proper place for her at time being. You can find her pictures and story under My Cat & i. She may be a very common looking cat, but she is truely an amazing cat and a strong survival.
Hehehe, the car ride and walk is just an act to cover our guilt .

So indoor or outdoor? My choice would be indoor.

closed down? wat a wonderful news that is.. hahahaha

btw i'll do exactly the same as u if i had a handicapped kitty.. put him/her indoors..

Oh i have no idea how she got there and i found her there 2 months back and adopted her 1 month ago. She got a friend there who fed her occasionally (security guard). The site (shop houses) is almost completed and CF out in Sept, so i suppose it will not be a safe place for her anymore after Sept.

The guard told me 3 months back, some building meterial fall onto her and caused her right paw detached. For more information and pictures http://kitten.com.my/forum/me-my-ca...meow-nisha.html

hmmm..training them?..lots of work la dear..although they r free to play kat luar, paling jauh bout 5 houses from mine they know that m always around. kiranye me mmg xleh ler nak tinggal rumah for a long period.

its a routine i stick to, kul 10pm all in for bed..nak ker xmo..must come in. even my girl yg mlm tido in a cage outside by 10pm i xmasukkan, she will seek me out n membebel xhingat sbb i lambat siapkan her tempat. nak nengok drama tv pun xleh.

usually everyday, if i came home n my boys r not..i put my bag n trus yell for them outside..kalu xmai..i seek them at their fav playin place depan umah. so all d neighbours pun da mmg cop my cats n me..heheheh. tiring la..but thats how they get use to it, sampai mase if m late..they seek me out! mmg byk sacrifice jugak ler..no long holidays even for raya n all (my mum hates me for this!)

n yes, my boy Ketot mmg "ketuk" pintu. he will jump up to d door handle n try to twist it to open, in d process he kicks (knocks) on d door guess he figured by watching me to open a door kene twist that tombol. he never saw me scratching..lol

one thing i learnt with cats, kene timing, get them used to a schedule n they will b fine. i've had my shares of waiting for them for hours kat luar tgh2 malam when they'r notty (clubbin ler tu ek), panic bile dorang lambat balik, jadi guard to rid d garden of unwanted guest when they want to play outside..penat weh but they arent notty often, thankfully!

my reward is simple things cam when i take an evening walk, berderet ikut i (cam rombongan mak kiah plak), good nite kisses they give b4 bed n basically just their acknowledment of me la

thats all i do. i make best d situation m in (duk menumpang lagik ) to give them a loving home that they will not want to leave. xsempurna, but d best for now.

Thank God for the good news, poor sweetheart. Meowchye, pls confine your little darling girl in your room and never let her out because there are factors you cannot control to ensure her complete safety. It is hard to expect others to take care as they do not feel as much for your cat and it would be unfair to expect them to do so. But if something happens, it is YOUR heart crushed, not theirs. All you need is a very small space in a little corner, or two little corners, need not be big. One of my little girls loves to smell serai, must pay visit to the pot, nibble and vomit out her cat hair. If any of the plants need sunlight, you can put rotate and put one or two small pots out in the window or garden for some sun then take two in. But don't put in any fountains or pools. Actually there are a lot of simple and cheap things you can do to give yr darling some fun each day. You need to provide her with lots of mental and physical stimulation for her growth and wellbeing. Good luck, friend.
