usually everyday, if i came home n my boys r not..i put my bag n trus yell for them outside..kalu xmai..i seek them at their fav playin place depan umah. so all d neighbours pun da mmg cop my cats n me..heheheh. tiring la..but thats how they get use to it, sampai mase if m late..they seek me out! mmg byk sacrifice jugak ler..no long holidays even for raya n all (my mum hates me for this!)

n yes, my boy Ketot mmg "ketuk" pintu. he will jump up to d door handle n try to twist it to open, in d process he kicks (knocks) on d door guess he figured by watching me to open a door kene twist that tombol. he never saw me scratching..lol

one thing i learnt with cats, kene timing, get them used to a schedule n they will b fine. i've had my shares of waiting for them for hours kat luar tgh2 malam when they'r notty (clubbin ler tu ek), panic bile dorang lambat balik, jadi guard to rid d garden of unwanted guest when they want to play outside..penat weh but they arent notty often, thankfully!

my reward is simple things cam when i take an evening walk, berderet ikut i (cam rombongan mak kiah plak), good nite kisses they give b4 bed n basically just their acknowledment of me la

thats all i do. i make best d situation m in (duk menumpang lagik ) to give them a loving home that they will not want to leave. xsempurna, but d best for now.

jeez bb.. u r so patient and willing to do that.. no wonder all of ur cats are so obedient

as for me.. i ni kurang penyabar sikit.. i would never get to achive wat u've trained ur cats.. sigh

Yesterday it was heavy rain here..............when i reached home as usual, i notice the stray dog took a moment to hide out from the rain and cold weather at my porch.......i always felt sorry for the dog he often get hit by other neighbours, so i never actually chase him away in such a weather especially. Poor fellow, if it was a cat they are able to look for a hidding place better than dogs due to their smaller body size.

When i opened my house door, all my cats were sleeping all curled up on the sofa, chairs & their bed. Comparing to the dog outside my porch...I told myself these fellows are really luciky for getting all the comfort they need..........I THINK AT TIMES PETS DO LIKE IT BEING INDOOR BUT AT OTHER TIMES CURIOUSITY JUST MAKES THEM FEEL I WANT TO GET OUT THERE!

All you need is a very small space in a little corner, or two little corners, need not be big. One of my little girls loves to smell serai, must pay visit to the pot, nibble and vomit out her cat hair. If any of the plants need sunlight, you can put rotate and put one or two small pots out in the window or garden for some sun then take two in. But don't put in any fountains or pools. Actually there are a lot of simple and cheap things you can do to give yr darling some fun each day. You need to provide her with lots of mental and physical stimulation for her growth and wellbeing. Good luck, friend.

I prefer my cat to stay indoor, but once in a while I'll try to bring him for a car ride. He used to be outdoor once a week. Every Sun,where my housemate will just open the door and let all of the cats to enjoy themselves for a day.All of them are very happy..and they didn't go anywhere far.Just within the house area. As for my cat,he like to play hide & seek with the other cats (corner house, luckily got halaman).
But now, living in a condo..no outdoor space (except balcony which is dangerous!),so my cat just lepak2 in front of the door everytime I open it.Just give him a few minutes,he'll take a walk & enjoy himself....

I keep my cats inside most of the time, the don't go scratching at doors or crying at the windows. They were both outdoor kittens (on a large farm) now I live in town. They are both desexed two year old males and seem to love their lives. I have a huge enclosure outside that they get to go out into on warm days, sun bathe, Climb, Scratch and dig in the dirt. All in all, everything a cat would ever want to do.
If they ever get out of the enclosure, they always, and I mean always run back inside (as if panicked) and go and hide under the blankets on my bed; and stay there until I close the house back up.
The older one (the are brothers from seperate litters) (my display pic) often sits in the windows and watches, but doesn't seem to want to go out there. Mainly just watches the birds and people going by.
I do feel guilty about keeping inside sometimes, but then when they get out of thier enclosure, they always come straight in anyways.. so where's the harm. They obviously want to be inside.
I think this discussion depends on the cats personality. Thier mother, I wouldn't have had a slight chance of keeping her in, and she met her fate with a car. (Hense the enclosure not running free). But my Boys dont seem to mind.

I should also add that my cats are Extremely Protective of me, and seem Slightly Distressed when I am not around. If I am home alone, they stay in the same room as me, and follow me from room to room. Which is a strange behaviour to me.
I don't think that I need to seek professional help over the behaviour thou.
If I go out for the day, they are often still curled up asleep where they were when I left; but as soon as they hear the keys in the door, they start Meowing and smother me with affection when I come inside.
Its currently 2 am here, and the only reason I am awake is because they woke me, growling under the front door, and pacing across me in bed. Sniffing my face and rubbing me (as in marking me). I went out to see what they would have been growling at, and there was a baby snake in the Drive way (about 3 ft from the door). The snake was more scared of me that I of it (and I'm terrified of snakes) and took of in the other direction and outta sight.
That was aver and hour ago, and my Boys are curled up together, Asleep, on a chair on the other side of the room.
After this post, I am going back to bed, and I'm sure that they will follow, its the norm. and they will watch over me, as I do for them.. They are family after all.
