Default Cats and Collars

Hi all,

I am seeking advise here whether should we put on a collar or not? My cat recently lost 2 collars in less than a month. Prior to this he always has a collar on and the last one he lost was about a year ago. He is aged 2years and I'm wondering is either he donated his collars away or caught in battle and lost his collar for being the sore loser. Or perhaps stuck in some twigs/branches/bushes.

Any ideas? I don't tied the collar tight around the neck as I do not want them to have a flat ring of fur around their neck. So, it is hung loosely most of the time.

Thanks!

It is adviseble for the cat to wear a collar and a TAG if it is an outdoor/indoor cat.

I use to wear collars for my cat before but after sometime i no longer use them for my cats, because it gets dirty and cats tend to scratch. My cats are fully indoor now.

Yes. Cats do need to have a collar esp if is outdoor. The bell is to warn birds to fly away before the cat pounce at them. My cat brought back 2 brown sparrows into the kitchen to show my mum!

I guess I'll need to go get another collar. Yes, safety collar ain't cheap. Is about rm10 each. But I always ensure all collar are clips on and not the convention buckle collar.

cat collar hunt starts tonight!

Oh..no wonder I don't come across them here.

Right now, my cat doesn't wear a collar. He seems to be proud of it. I guess he just want to follow the in-fashion of the mafia cats outside the house.

I gave him a long lecture and told him sternly I'll get him another collar. His expression was a meow and shifted his big butt into a comfortable position on the chair and left me feeling like a total lost.

I was thinking of going to one of those shops where they can engrave things on steel (apparently it won't rust) and do 4 tags for my cats; name in front, my phone number at the back. All the tags I've found so far are far too huge and bulky... doesn't look comfortable at all!

What do you guys think?
