my cats pulak when i come back from work they greet me at the door... then they will stay around and follow me everywhere, including the bathroom. so, obviously my bathroom door kena open sket so arwen can make sure i'm still around. if not she will cry...

Hi J,
May u leh try macam nie ya. hope it works coz it's easier to train a kitten compare to an adult. When we want to educate cats, 1st of all bare in mind, be patient. kalau hari nie tak jadi, then try tmrw etc. jgn paksa. i m not refering to u but to ur cats. give ur cat a break. when u want ur cat to come to u, make sure he is looking at u n hulur out ur hand. if he buat dek.. then move closely. if still buat dek, u can trigger him/her using a small bell. make sure u call his name when u do this so that he can remember his/her own name. if the bell thing do not work, then u can use treats... like his own food kibble or a very small teaspoon of wetfood. if he had finally responded when calling his name, make sure u give him a pat on his head n say good boy/girl. hope this brief info helps. so far, it works for my Speed but now, i m trying to call him without using the bell. sometimes he responded but sometime he dun. therefore, patient loh...

Cats and humans are trainable, but naughty cats and naughty humans are difficult to train. You may and may not succeed. PS- If you guys heard of any training centre for cats in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor , please let me know.

Jay,
I've not done much training. But I read from books that u hv to reward him everytime he comes at your call. Or else the cat will ignore u in future. It seems that a cat is an opportuinistic creature. It will only do something if there is profit Mt 2cts worth. Allycat

Herm... interesting...
My male MC kat umah tu pemalas sikit.. nak suruh berlari...sorrylah.. he is like Garfield... makan dan rehat ... melepak... tidur... he dont like to play... sekejap-sekejap bolehlah.But what I can say is MC like to climb to higher places. My two female MC also dont like to play... may be one is pregnant right now and another is a bot older. From my observation what I can say is most of the cat kurang active biler they are mature. Jarang I nampak kucing yang berumur still having its kitten behavior unless the cat has been neutured from kitten lah. MC takes long time to reach maturity.

what i can say is...
when ADAM was send to earth he felt lonely and pray to GOD. GOD granted him a creature called DOG. when ADAM become arrogant and pray less, ANGEL told GOD about ADAM. DOG was so devoted to ADAM that ADAM thought he was GOD. so, GOD give another creature called CAT to teach ADAM humility as a CAT do whatever he wish... note : this was taken from literature. i forget the whole story but... a dog is devoted as it is their nature. a cat do whatever they wish coz its their nature.

Ic...every cat got their own character..
Mine ni..ada mood..klu dia nk main pun kena di ajak tupun lucky klu mood dia OK..klu tak..u ajak main mcm mana pun dia buat tak tau jerk.. Tapi masa I bangun nk pegi keje, bukan main lagi..dok gesel2 kt kaki I ajak bergurau dengan dia.. Sometimes time tido, I saje buka pintu sket so dat dia boleh enter to the room anytime she want..at least like Catalina said..she knew that ada orang kt rumah..if not she'll keep mewing all the time.. Love my Maria Clara so muchhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

hi mercy...
some cats are not lap cats - they have no need for 24/7 cuddle and attention. i believe yours might be one. when he ask for one, just give it la... my two cats, eowyn and tusy also dislike being held unlike arwen. so, when they come and gesel2, i pick them up and give a big hug... when they wiggle, i let them go... my new cat, tazzieberry, i do not know yet. but maybe she's one manja type, but a bit scaredy-cat like tusy. been hiding in the carrier or under the daybed since i brought her home coz the resident cats been hissing at her

This March , he turns 1 yr 2 month. In a meantime, I have to settle with Sofa and carpet buruk. And I also have to buy limau, so lepas sakit tekak menjerit, I can make lemonade.
