Default On heat after abortion?

One question I want to ask experienced cat owners. Prior to arriving, my foster cat, Lulu Squeaky Putumayam was given an abortion and neutering (probably 10-12 days ago) and she is recovering very well. Here's the weird thing. Could she still be displaying as there are lots of gentleman cats calling at my house, spraying and making those calls. Could it be possible that she is still on some kind of "phantom heat". To test, I stroked her tail bone area and she did the "submission" pose.

FYI, there is no chance of an accidental mating. However I would like to know if it is possible that she is still sending out hormonal signals. Please answer ONLY IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER.

Likewise I know that in a human vasectomy case, there is a chance of impregnation during the first month after the procedure.

Default Not sure

Hi Catalina

I am fostering her as my friend has gone overseas (she has 6 cats already and she did not have time to ensure her comfort with 6 others) from what she told me, she sent Lulu SP for desexing and the vet told her that she was pregnant so it was terminated and desexed at the same time.

I have heard of impreganated cats still attracting male attention. The caterwauling is just horrible.

BTW Lulu SP is terrified of those outside male cats.

yup, caterwauling is terrible for your hearing... meanwhile, you have to deal with it maybe one or two weeks..

as long as lulu is indoors, she's protected. just give her some place for her to hide like a box or her carrier - make it comfy so she'll feel secure
