relocate them to pasar where people might
1. feed them, God bless those kind soul
2. pour hot water on them, i think few here has seen this
3. kick in the face, stomach etc , usual scene in mamak stall
4. chase with a stick or stones.
5. knockdown by traffic well u dont care anyway right

so yeah its more humane to relocate the cat to pasar malam than spca coz spca is a cat killer.

i salute u 1000x for relocating the cat to a better place call pasar. maybe they ended up on some vietnamese dinner plate. who knows...

after reading all the posting .. there is only 1 person are suggesting neuter and release ... TNR is the best solution for keeping the stray population low .... i have done it at my apartment area .. i don't think you guys have much problem doing it. You guys can start spaying the female 1st then males .... then start with kitten that mostly above 8 to 10 month ... because just to keep the surviving rate better after neutering usually kitten above 10mth surviving rate is better then kitten below 10mth ...

im sure there will ppl who comment on COSTING ... as far as i know ... there is nothing else you can do to control the population without doing this ... ppl being trowing or killing the cats n kitten .. but they keep coming non stop ...

everything is depends on YOU ... how far you willing to go ... if you feel money is the problem .. you can try rising money in your community ... THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD YOU JUST NEED TO PUT YOUR HEAD TOGETHER SURE THERE IS A WAY.

Funny. I thought that can happen anywhere. Actually I thought that happens more often in a residential area. Especially kicking and throwing the cats around... Or worse, langgar dgn keta sampai mati!

I don't see what is so very wrong in re-locating. If a cat can survive in its current location, it can survive anywhere else right? Cats adapt pretty quickly.

For me though, I just try to scare them away. Throw noisy things like keys near them and scream around like a mad person. Have to do it several times to get the message that they're not wanted across though.

Again, you are so correct!! There is nothing wrong, its more humane and worth the effort to re-locate then gg to SPCA and putting them to sleep. Its shocking when someone says its humane to put them to sleep!!!

hah, i think then you better just act as they are not there lah... probably they are just looking for shelter or a place to call home. food? "never mind, we can find ourselves"

actually there are quite a bunch of other methods, like putting pepper, spray water, dense and thorny planting etc etc... but catproofing is a sure method that require minimal maintenance

Scallop, you are Rhazas are trouble mind. admit it, you attacked J'aira once because of her kitties died after giving birth.you remember that? you don't even know the whole story. you and rhazes seems to have a tendency to attack people here and there.don't blame us for attacking us too. so now just do what you want to do and save your comments for yourself because I don't think we need another negative soul in this forum.

By the way, offer yourself to be the volunteer to SPCA , find out why they put the dog/cat to sleep and tell us what do you think.

first of all, dru these people doesnt want to feed the cat, what make you believe they going to TNR.

and secondly, i believe people in these forum doesn't know things about sarcasm or perhaps dimwitted because apparently they believe i support throwing cat in pasar. silly them.

SPCA is always better than pasar for me. at least u need to pay something to put unwanted cat there
ohh wait now i see the reason why the thread starter doesn't want to sent to SPCA. money issue lar

baling batu better la. at least u know u buat direct dosa kan.

and scallop i dont share u view. and macgyver i dont have troubled mind but im trouble seeing people agreed with pasar relocation.

please use a bit of u excess cash especially people who actually can afford pedigree to start tnr at your residential area seblom barking like a dog saying SPCA a cat killer stupid.
