Hello all forumer, im a newcomer wish i could get some guidance with my cat problem.
My male cat is DLH name is Simba, he's already 2yrs old when i adopt him and i have another female cat name is Jojo bout 1 yrs old. So basically when the 1st day bringing Simba back home, Jojo did the cat "hissing" , i've read through the forum and found tht this is a normal thing. So im not too worry. The prob is : 1. Day 1 : Simba vomitted n having diarrhea and pissing around the house. 2. Day 2 : Simba's poo is getting better(not having diarrhea) abit and showing that he's ok with the surroundings. 3. Day 3 : Sleeps the whole day at his fav spot. Poo is normal but he wont eat. Simba wont eat unless i hand feed him or else he wont eat from his bowl. Based from my observation on up till day 3 , is Simba stressed? or izzit Simba missed my gf because my gf loves him soo much that she pats and plays with Simba more than me? I hope forumers can help me on this. What should i do? Im worry because he wont eat that much... |

If you are worried I suggest you make an appointment to see the vet for consultation. For long discussion with my vet I would usually make an appointment so that he will have that extra time for consultation. Especially when I need some advice on my cats' behaviour.
Simba pissing around? Most probably normal since he is a boy and if not yet neutered he will start marking in new place. Even if neutered but the neutering was late, i.e. when he learn to mark before, he will do the same. Simba vomiting - not so good unless it was hairball, but I am sure you have been informed on this before. Worm perhaps? just a thought since he also had a bout of diarrhoes. Not eating, could it be because of different kinds of food? Or could it be because of gastroenteritis (food poisoning)? Or could it be because of worms? Try deworming again. Simba sleeps a lot. It might be because he was having diarrhoea and vomiting that he is slightly dehydrated? Still suggest meeting the vet though. They know best.

Bout the food, the previous owner told me he feed Simba with IAMS. But I just bought Jojo's Science Plan. So the first nite Simba had Science Plan (my bad), but the next day i quickly change back to IAMS. Till today, Simba is not eating much. Currently im giving only IAMS and he continues sleeping all day long..
Thx for the advise, i will try to make my time to bring Simba to vet asap. |

After observing Simba these few days, i've been feeding him wet food. So far its all good and he began eating n getting used to the environment and now friends with Jojo. The wierd thing happened is that, while he was eating he will then "kuis-kuis" the floor like he wanna poopoo but he's not (while he is still munching his food).Does anyone have this kind of experience? Can i know why?

Simba is back to normal, he's more energetic now but still skinny. Im giving him wet food 1 can per day. *pheewww*
So my conclusion is that he is stressed with the new envoironment. Just that it took 1 whole week for him to settle down. |
