Hi everyone, would appreciate your feedback on this, mana tau you guys have had the same experience.

Last week, I was away on holiday, and left my 6 month old boy, Motorb0t in the care of my younger brother, who has agreed to stay at my apt and cat-sit for me.

When I came back, motorb0t yang sememangnya super manja, berperangai tersangat-sangat lah over needy dan clingy. (Kalau dia tu boyfriend I, dah lama dah I rimas ok tapi sebab dia kucing I, I tetap menchentainya ) I can understand mungkin he was traumatized from our separation, since dia ni memang terlebih dimanjakan oleh me.

Yang I tak faham, my sister who was visiting my bro when I was away reported that he kept following her around and then peed on her comforter! Kemudian I discovered that he peed on my pillows as well! Sebelum ni dia tak pernah buat perangai sebegini rupa so I am mystified mengapakah my boy buang tebiat sebegini rupa?

Do you guys have explanation as to why Motorb0t is acting like this? I dont think my siblings would've abused him, as we are all catlovers, and motorb0t dah biasa dah ngan my brother who visits often, siap tido on my brother's perut lagi tu.

Adakah kerana Motorb0t sudah membesar dan bakal akil baligh ke hapa ni? Really appreciate your input.

I think your Motobot tu merajuk la. So by showing his merajuk, he peed on the comforter and pillows.

I also have a boy like that. Super manja with me but if I happen to bring back another sibling to the house he for sure will throw his tantrum by not poo2 and pee2 in the litter box. He will do it everywhere in the house.

That shows how intelligent the cat is. They are saying why bring another cat when you have me? Or this is what you get when you leave me to go on a holiday he..he...

May be he is under stress without u being on his side...or hv u neutered him?if no, may be, he is started to mark ur house as he is 6 months old now.. try to eliminate the odor fast as he'll be try doing it at the same place again...in simple word..change ur pillow...good luck!

Itu is quite biasa behaviour for the cat if U understand what Motorb0t was going through and seeing things from her eyes ... (reading "Animals in Translation", I learn to see things through their eyes and brains - their brain structure is different from ours).

Motorb0t has claimed your apartment and you as her property. Your bro and sis are outsiders who visited. She missed U and were telling them that tempat tu belongs to her and U. She thought they were taking over the territory which belongs to U and her.

She pee-ed on the things to stake claim on them. Even spayed/neutered cats will do that when similar circumstances arise, especially if U overcrowd your house with other cats! They stake their claim because U must not forget that cats are territorial. Spay/neuter removes the sexual part but not the territorial part (it reduces the radius, however). Cats (especially older ones) and other animals have their personal space, like us.

And the last decade has seen tremendous research done on cats. More understanding has emerged and many, many misunderstandings and misconceptions (mercifully for them) uncovered.

Thanks for your feedback. I think some parts of what you guys pointed out might be the case with my cat.

The day before yesterday, when I got back home from a long day at work, I discovered that Motorb0t pooped on my bed. Nice. (NOT!). Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately, depends on how you look at it) it was still fresh and his poop doesnt smell so much, so the smell has not yet seeped into my bedspread / mattress.

I will make a point of spending more time with Motorb0t so he wont feel so neglected or ignored. Am thinking of getting another cat to keep him company so he wont feel less lonely but I dont want to have to go through the whole territorial marking as pointed out as FurKids.

Motormama, gauging from your statements, I think you misunderstand my comments.

Having said that I also wish to add that your getting another cat may not ease his loneliness (he might not even be suffering from loneliness ... you and most of us just assume that a sole cat must lonely the way most humans are) and that he might not stop pooping and peeing outside the litter box.

FurKids, eventhough saya dibesarkan di Kuching (macam la relevant sangat ) dan membela kucing semenjak kecil lagi, I am still mystified by the behaviour of felines (maybe that's why I love cats, they are interesting creatures, full of surprises, smelly ones or otherwise...).

I am happy to report that my boy is now back to his usual toilet habits, no more peeing and pooping di tempat yang tidak sepatutnya. Although I wish I understand why he behaved the way he did, so there won't be a repeat incident...
