Default How long to process pedigree cert.?

Did anyone here encounter any problem in registering his or her kittens? How long does it normally takes for MCC and FSM to process their pedigree certificate and registration?

Before it took MCC and FSM about 3 months to process my cats’ pedigree certificate and registration. My cattery was registered with MCC because Sarawak Cat Club is affiliated with it. I registered my first litter of British Shorthair kittens with MCC more then 6 months ago. The kittens are nearly 1 year old and I haven’t received their pedigree certificate and registration. I call, SMS and e-mail the person in charge a couple of times, he didn’t reply my SMS and e-mails. When I talk to him over the phone he will tell me he was going to send them but I never receive them.

I just want to get my kittens’ pedigree certificates, any advice as what I should do next?

well... as for my knowledge it depend to whom you are registered. for CFA one of the members easily register her cats less than 3 months.

Hi Pussy! Dont worry about the cert from MMC.It will come eventually.I waited for my cert for more than 8 months the last time.I did even write or chase after them about the cert. You have to understand that MMC is run by all volunteer. They have full time job on their own, be patient-lah! Give them time.

Triba,

Thank you for your assurance. It is not my own kitten's cert. that I am worried about. Ling Fiy bought a kitten from me and there is a cat show on 29/5 in KK that require a pedigree cert. if the kitten were to enter the pedigree category. I just hope they finished the certificate before the cat show.

The Kuching International Cat Show will be held in Dec. too. Without the pedigree cert. my beautiful British Shorthair, Gorgeous will be put under household category, which is very unfair.

Hi Pussy,

I hate 2 tell u this, the person in charge of pedigree registering in MCC is simply not suitable 4 the post. I too hv this problem with them before I join FSM. I waited 4 more then 6 mths until I hv 2 confront that person regarding my pedigree cert at the Kuching International Cat Show when I went there 2 show my cat. I assume things has never change, just like the saying a leopard will never change it spot.

I don't hv this kind of problem anymore, not with FSM & CFA. Even CFA an oversea body don't take this long. 4 CFA it usually take only about a month or so, not forgetting they r dealing with pedigree registering around the world.

I guess it's better that u join another cat club, maybe the 1 in Sabah.

hi, pussy...

you must be in dilemma now huh?

yup, i have to agree, it is unfair for gorgeous to compete under household category. unfair coz
- gorgeous cannot compete with other BSH, not fair to her
- domestic cats have to compete with a pedigree which is unfair to domestic cats

hope you will get the certs soon
