Unhappy please help...

Hello....Im Shasha...I was wondering if anyone could help me tell what breed my cats are. Im guessing 2 of them are local breed but the other one I'm not too sure. As I live in Terengganu and the vets here are ok but they dont really know specifically what breed he is.
Is there anyway to tell by just looking at them or something DIY...???

Please help....

You can go to www.tica.org and looks at the cats pictures in their breed standard.... otherwise in the cat is long hair but no cert... then it consider Domestic Long Hair or what do Malaysian call Persian Cross

hmm... i think your cat is a DLH only lah if longhair... that's from my point of view

dun worry, i also have a nice DLH i found in my yard, scraggly and dirty back then...

basically, u have to study the cats books to determine the most probable breed of your cat. but most probably, it will be DSH pr DLH if the cat got no cert. unless the cat is a purebred without cert, then u confirm the cat got pedigree in its blood

Question hmm...interesting~

But....what is DLH/DSH???
Because we got him from mu mums friend. Her cat gave birth to him...Since she only has persians and pedigree breed cats...Im assuming Jinx is one too. Just wanted to know his breed background and wasnt quite certain. I think he may be a cross breed. But either way, its cool...we still love him just the same

DLH = Domestic Long Hair (Mixed breed cats with long hair)
DSH = Domestic Short Hair (Mixed breed cats with short hair)

It is hard to tell the exact combination breed for mixed unless you are certain of the parents.

Jinx is a beautiful black cat but his hair is not as long as persian. His face structure and the curve of his head also do not reflect persian's standard. To me, he is a DSH.

You know what, tak payah lah kisah what his breed is, as long as you love him, that is all what matter.
