Good thread and very informative. Thanks Keshar, Horatio, Jay, Lesley for sharing.

I think this is the kind of issue that we should always be discussing in this forum because I believe most of us who join this forum is to learn on the world of our beloved cats. There so little that we knew about them. We does not want to be cheated with all the unresponsible breeder or pet shop who claims the cat is a pure breed and pays the premium.

Anyway Keshar your PERSIAN soooo beautiful.

It worries me that this cattery does not show which registry he is affiliated to. It worries me more that the breeder owns a pet shop which seems to indicate that the cats are sold there. What worries me most is that the breeder seems to own an unimaginable amount of breeding cats on top of the already innumerable kittens/available. They do look like purebreds but the question here is backyard breeder or not? With so many males and females how does the breeder separate them and ensure that he does not have rogue litters at different times of the year?

I've seen this site before and was utterly horrified. It's been discussed widely by Oz breeders as about the worst example of kitten farming in cyber land! SOME look as though they could be pure bred, but none show quality as such IMHO, and given the ridiculous colour descriptions of some (oh yes - and a black with green eyes???) which indicate whoever it is hasn't a clue about persians, I would be VERY surprised if they would be registered! What lives these poor cats must lead!

Just visited this website. They have a massive amount of breeding cats 13 males and 29 females. How many kittens do they produce a year? How do a person take care of these many cats? Where are they kept? Lots of questions to be answered.
It definitely looks like a kitten mills as they don't show what organisation they are reg with and not even the cats pedigree names.

Hi Mel,
Where is this place actually. About 100 cats use for breeding and most of them appear sick that just terrible. Hopefully we can do something about this maybe shut them down. Those poor cats

Ummmm....I think I missed something. Are we saying that this Cheetah cattery has 100 cats or are we talking about something else? (I can still read 13 and 29!)
