Default What Colour is she?????

Hi Guy,

Anybody can tell me what colour is my kitten?
At two months old (First picture), you can see the classic tabby marking and the fur is cream in colour.
But now, she is 4 months old, She looks like a colourpoint kitten with some cream ghost marking but the eyes is yellow-green in colour.

Any color expert out there.

I suspect she is a lilac-tortie shaded!

What colour are the pawpads and the nose? Rather hard to see anything definite in these shots. Looks to be a tipped (silver) but as to the exact colour.........???????????????

Default Emmm....

Hi Lesley,

Sorry, my digicam can only capture 3.2 megapix. Trying hard to get a clearer picture. Maybe I will try again.
She got some chocolate fur near to the paw. Some ghostly cream tabby marking on the forehead and some lilac tabby marking on the foot.
The paw pads is dark brown. The stomach is pure white while the back in cover by lilac fur down to the base.
The rims of her eyes, lips and nose is outlined with black. Her nose leather is brick red.
Sometime she looks like chincilla while sometime she looks like a colourpoint kitten because the colour intensity on the tail and nose bridge.
Maybe tonight I will take some close up photo of her body part.

Default Some picture

Some picture and information probably could help.

Her father is a silver male (last picture) and the mother is a red shaded.

Dad is obviously black shaded, so if Mum's red ditto, she has to be a tortie of some colour - if she has dark pads and chocolate over the nose as well as lilac, then you've got me stumped - she can't be both a choc and lilac tortie! Much more likely is that she's a pretty standard tortie tipped, though of what colour....???????????????? Dark pads would suggest black tortie, because the likelihood of choc or lilac is pretty small. The lilac looking coat over the back could be saliva/sun stained?????

I am no color expert but she does have the resemblance of silver shaded Chinchilla - only that her color is not silver... but she looks like one, oh I love the old fashion Chinchilla (long nose)!

Lesley,

Her face color look like a lilac colour point, what differentiate her to CP is the nose pad colour, eyes colour, and black lining around the eye lid.

Today she more and more like a CP kitten but with yellow-green eyes.

If she a standard tortie tipped, which colour should I record as????

some ghost tabby marking looks creamy red.

So is she a brown & cream tortie tipped???

Her great grandpa is a himalayan, great grandma is a silver tortie DLH, give birth her grandma a brown tabby female which later I cross to a red shaded male and finally I get her father. Hope it did not confused you.

Yep, I think I am confused! First, rule out himalayan with yellow-green eyes and no obvious points unless she's a silver tabby point with VERY pale markings (still EC doesn't fit). They have the same eye rims and noseleathers as any other agouti cat. She seems to be a black tortie, judging by the closeup of the paw, OR that very pale part and pink pads could be bicolour (low grade? If it's pale cream she's unlikely to be bicolour, and you don't mention any "and white" parentage) The baby photo has me stumped - she looks like a cream shaded (albeit with a dark pawpad, which means tortie)....and then she grows up this way?
