Yes, Catalina, I am in a dilemma. My best choice now is with MCC since SCC is affiliated with MCC and Kuching International Cat Show is under FIFe. I cannot participate in other international cat show other than this one. May be Sabah will organize an international cat show in future, I don’t know. You are right, it is unfair to Gorgeous as well as other domestic cats if she were to enter household category.

I wrote to the president of MCC last night telling him I will register my cattery with FSM if I didn’t receive my kittens’ pedigree certificate by the end of this month. Ling Fiy is waiting for her kitten’s pedigree cert. to enter KK Cat Show in May. There isn’t much time left to transfer the cert. under her name. I have no choice but to join FSM to keep my promise to Ling Fiy that I will have a cert. for her kitten before the show. I wish he, as a president of MCC kept his promise. He told me twice he was going to send out the cert. That was more than 2 months ago.

I hope if I do register my cattery with FSM, MCC would give me hard time. Does anyone here know any breeders registering their cattery with both cat clubs? I heard many registered with both cat clubs so that they can participate in both cat shows.

I heard that David is going 4 the Bangkok show on May. r u going? I'm going 4 the show & I might b showing a few of my coony if I can get the quarantine exemption from the Malaysian auhtority.

m a neutral soul... n not trying to be on anybodies side... i agreed with Catalina... it is easy for us to complaint... but think... all of these people who involved in cat clubs.. FSM or MCC are all working people like us.. they are doing probono work.. charity.. for free.. n all are out of interest.... so bear with them... they have other priorities like us too.. at times... their committments might consume most of their times or perhaps there are some technical matters... database go cuckoo or whatever... so guys n gals.. b a little considerate...

being in either clubs is individual choice.. do wht you think rite n comfortable but if the purpose of being in clubs is to show off "owners" rather than cats then... u know la wht i mean... the purpose of having cat clubs n cat shows is for the love of the cats.. but it seems rather the objectives has changed..... its more for the owner rather than the cats..

yup.. we do pay for all the pedigrees registration and certification.. but doesnt gives us the right to "direct".. demand yes but reasonably...

Y shud we hold our tongue & hang on 2 our frustration bcoz of some incompetent ppl.

I'm not taking side but just want 2 point out the fact & logic in it. Yes! FSM & MCC r run by volunteer but I don't c y MCC shud b any difference from FSM when FSM take only about a mth 2 hv ur cat registered & MCC take more then 6 mths or so 2 do it. I think it's simply unfair 2 the breeder 2 hold 2 their pedigree registration 4 so long. If 1 is too busy with his or her personal commitment then let other more competent person do the job.

1 more thing is I don't understand y MCC restrict their member from showing their cats in other cat club show when cat club in US or Japan with so many cat club do not hv this sort of restriction. Maybe someone can enlighten me on this.

yes i do need yr help...cos i 1 2 breed my BSH ard n is ard 1 yrs old i still don get the cert...thats not fair to us. do u know tht 1 of my frd waited 3yrs 4 the cert n cant breed his cat? is not tht he cant breed, but more 2 he dont 1 2 breed kitten without the cert. ya he got it after 3 yrs...n then 2 bad he transfer all under another club n the best thg is, the other club get all his cert done within a mth. both club r run by volunteers but y cant this club do the same. i am not trying to critisize or say bad thgs abt any1 but if any1 out there happens to be new breeder n v to wait 2-3yrs, i don think is going to work. for the love n care of cats of cos is the 1st priority to involv in cat clubs, to maintain the breed standard also paly n important role.
