What are the differences between these two breed, Chartreux and British Shorthair, both have blue fur and copper eyes.

They used to be intermateable in Europe, but that practice officially stopped in Nov '77. "Officially" is the operative word - there's still a fair whack of mixed pedigree if you trace back. The USA has created a rather different breed out of the CHA and it is very distinctive..moreso than the original (if you can still call them that!) European CHA.
