And do we have the health and genetic expertise to determine all above...

Coz is just like why we wanna breed at the first place....?
Well all this are just my personal opinion....

Historically, I think the Malaysiana and KM were flow-on from the Singapura.

Dear Lesley, Thanks so much for your explaination. Its very true on what you had mentioned and FYI only few breeders interested with this breed. Maybe because of the whole maintenance, financial and ects.....
Anyway if anybody interested to join this project you r welcome and kindly call me at 012- 2200 982

Well, my explanation is sort of self-evident to anyone who knows about experimental breeding! I don't see how any 'blame' can be laid at MCC's door on the matter of the KM not progressing - MCC is an admin body which registers - NOT a cattery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy show!

Financial is the key point.
Breeders need lots of cats for any experimental program, and to maintain the cats definitely will require lots of money.

The growth of the program will be slower if less breeder participate.

Default Km

Dear Leslie, I was one of your the stewards in MCC. The KM project is not progressing due to lack of initiative among MCC breeders. Only 3rd generation cats are available but none to mate with from other catteries. Pls advice. Thank u

Plus it is not easy to get a cat with nice v-invert white marking.

Pet kittens need to be altered & rehome and rehoming process may prolong months or years.
